Rachel Reist, LCSW
"At the core of my therapeutic approach is a strong belief in the inherent ability each child and individual has for healing and growth, and the power of the therapeutic relationship to nurture that inherent potential. I view myself as a companion and a guide as we walk the healing journey together -a journey I feel privileged to be a part of."
Rachel Reist completed her Masters in Social Work from Brigham Young University in 2011 and received her LCSW in 2013. She has worked with children and families in clinical outpatient mental health settings both during her clinical internships in graduate school and since her graduation. Rachel has received advanced clinical training in the following areas, due to a desire to best meet the needs of her clients: Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Mindfulness. She continues to pursue consultation and training to provide evidence-based approaches that are effective and best suited to each client's individual needs.
